About us
Haiti Nexus is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing knowledge and research related to Haiti by creating the first multilingual research database of its kind.
We believe in fostering academic excellence and community engagement. To further support this mission, we will host annual poster competitions and 3-minute thesis competitions, providing a platform for scholars to showcase their work. In addition, we offer year-round webinars on various topics, designed to empower researchers and students while promoting collaborative learning.
At Haiti Nexus, we are committed to building a bridge between research and practice, helping to shape Haiti’s future through informed scholarship and innovation.
Our Story
Haiti Nexus was founded in September 2024 by three passionate young Haitian professionals—Josue St Fort, Riphine Mainviel, and Marie Darline Dorval—who recognized a significant gap between research conducted in Haiti and the accessibility of these valuable findings to the public. Driven by a shared vision to bridge this divide, they established Haiti Nexus, the first multilingual research database dedicated to promoting the dissemination of Haitian research.
This platform not only makes important data widely accessible but also encourages researchers to publish their findings through the various journals hosted by Haiti Nexus, fostering a culture of open scholarship and advancing knowledge that can shape the future of Haiti.
Mission
To Promote the dissemination of research in Haiti by facilitating access to completed studies and encouraging researchers to publish their work in multiple languages—Creole, French, and English.
Vision Statement
At Haiti Nexus, our vision is to be the leading platform for the dissemination of Haitian research, bridging the gap between scholarship and accessibility. We strive to empower researchers and scholars by providing a multilingual database that fosters knowledge sharing and promotes academic excellence.
